The Shoe Thrower

I’m sure many of you have already heard about this incident, but I was interested in your thoughts. Whether you agree with Bush or not he is representing the US and all of its citizens. For Islamic followers, throwing a shoe at someone is one of the most degrading things you can do (remember the iraqis throwing shoes at the statue of Saddam?). As Americans should we take offense to this, or is it an attack solely at Pr. Bush?

  1. The world just saw us elect Obama. This is about as far a leap away from Bush as we could possibly have gone (Not as far a leap as I would like to see, but a great start). People in other countries are not stupid. They know that Bush does not represent all Americans just like most of us understood that Hussein did not represent all Iraqis. Just like we should understand that Bin Laden does not represent all Muslims or Arabs for that matter. It’s well understood at this point that most Americans are disgusted with Bush so I don’t feel insulted at all when someone insults or attacks old G. W. fuckerface. I wish he had clocked him right between the eyes with that loafer, or better yet, that Bush might have jumped up and caught the shoe with his teeth just like the animal he is. Bush has never represented me or my values as an American so fuck him. As far as I’m concerned, he his whole administration should be put on trial for treason.
