Viral Protest Video

It’s too bad all of the overwhelming organization of protests againts Prop. 8 is coming now, after the damned election.  Way to go, pothead actors and activists.  Only two more years before they can wait too long to mount an effective campaign again.

As you think, the gay marriage might not be allowed in the United States in two years because people just started to accept homosexuals. However, I have a hope for the law of the same-sex marriage will be passed soon because of Obama. I think we should give him enough time to do his work while we are doing our part.

  2. I do think that it’s only a matter of time before gay people win equal rights in this country (as long as this country is still around in the next few years). Obama didn’t necessarily help the situation. He denounced gay marriage in favor of civil unions for obvious political reasons during the campaign. If he had shown more leadership and taken a stand for equal rights then we wouldn’t have seen a 70% black vote in favor of Prop 8 and it never would have passed. That might well have cost him the election so I don’t know if I can entirely fault him for it. Hopefully, while he enjoys such huge approval ratings and public support, he will use that influence to change his tune and help to make a change. The #1 reason Prop 8 passed though, was not black support, but white Mormon organization and support. This was a clear violation of U.S. Tax Policy, and the LDS church should be stripped of their tax-exempt status as a religious organization.

I thought the same thing as the poster – a little late guys!

Prop 8 was devastating, but this vid does nothing now. Americans do tend to be much more reactive than proactive, though.
