I dont know much about this painting but I would always see it referenced in cartoons when i was little. It was famous in the past for the woman and her expression. Now, i think its still famous because it is very easy to manipulate it and create a whole new look to a famous painting

  1. Kinda weird but yes. This painting is still quite well known. But I dont know the history of this painting either. Why was its so famous, I mean, the painting looks pretty darn simple. Just a picture of a woman. Is it popular just because leaonardo Da vinci did it?

    there’s a whole mathematical set up behind it. plus there’s a code attached to it or something apparently, i don’t know. i didn’t jump on that band wagon.
