Bad Plastic Surgery – Plastic

I’ve been noticing recently that about almost every girl celeb has had plastic surgery.  These girls are beautiful even before they have plastic surgery but they do it anyway.  They do it because they want to look better or prettier but to me it makes them look more fake and ugly and less attractive.  People are never happy with what they have and technology now days lets you have anything you want if you have the money for it.  I wish celebs could stick up for themselves and not have to look like everyone else but look like themselves.  Here are a handful of celebs that have had plastic surgery.

  1. I’ve never understood the phenomenon either. 99.9% of the time, the celebs look better before surgery. Is a lift here and an injection there really going to make you prettier? Aren’t they always saying it’s what’s inside that counts?
If only I could get past your extremely oversized lips and up-to-your-forehead eyebrows.

Pamala looks fine to me. Those other women may want to see if they can get there money back.

  3. Wow…I don’t know what to say. I think celebrities are obsessed with plastic surgery because they have so much money plus living and working in Hollywood where they are constantly watched, affects them very much. Their ideas of beauty become skewed and they turn to plastic surgery. Actually, I think it is our fault these celebrities look like this and do this to themselves. They see these models and images of what the public likes and who is hot at the time, so people like Tara Reid who are not as popular anymore see these new models, and sees how the public reacts to them. They want the popularity they once had back again, so they do things like get plastic surgery to look just as skinny and beautiful as the new hot models. Its actually kind of sad because these celebrities actually do these things for us. They want the attention back so they go to these lengths to look like the once did. Its a sad cycle that happens all the time and probably never will end.

Do you think celebrities see models and what they think the public likes and try then try to fulfill that in their bodies? Or do they just have so much money that they can make their bodies perfect, and the public sees them and then wants to be them, creating a new thinner expectation in their minds that the models try and sell back? I think it is a vicious cycle. But where did the idea of thin being pretty start?

I don’t think that celebrities look at models, see perfection, and try to fulfill it. However, I do agree with elikapeka that these celebrities have the money to make their bodies perfect. Due to the fact that they have money, they have access to plastic surgery, and personal trainers and chefs. It’s the same with the public seeing these celebrities and wanting to be them, therefore reinforcing the thinner body. It is a vicious cycle. I don’t know where the idea of being thin start, but I heard that back in the ’50s, Marilyn Monroe was like a size 10, or something like that. From then on, the ideal size became smaller and smaller, and now we have the ideals being sizes 0 or 2, etc.
