It’s bothering me that someone out there thinks that there is no diversity in high fashion. I think you are stuck in a very small world. In other countries, Americans are not the models. Here is a picture of the top of an Israeli modeling company. They have people with white skin, brown skin, olive skin. There are beautiful people all over the world.

No one said anthing about other countries, we live in America if you haven’t noticed. I realize there are wonderful people of every ethnic background i think you are confusing the message I’m trying to convey. Does it matter what the construct is in another counrty? We live in a completely White domineted society. You may want to look at the reality of the Dominant Paradigm and study it a little.

Maybe instead of complaining about how you feel our society is so dominated by white people you should spend your time trying to better it… create some peace. What can you do to make what you consider flaws of our society better?

what exactly is the message you’re trying to convey bigdickdaddy?

there are tons of non-white american models.

  4. bigdickdaddy Says:

go find them then King. Respond to the mission ! the message i am trying to convey is, to me, fashion is dominated by white models. If it is that means there are far less people of color making a living from it. It’s as simple as that. I Know the richest and most powerful people in America are white. Its all about having fair chances and equal oppertunity.

tyra banks, jenny shimizu, devon aoki, daisy fuentes, to name a few.

white models is also a rather broad category, that can include everyone from cindy crawford to bijou phillips to rebecca romijn to beth ostrosky to brooke shields (ethnically diverse, but racially similar?).

why not go all the way with your arguments? why aren’t there more whites/asians/latinos in the NBA? is it their race that keeps them out? and apparently you haven’t heard of Oprah, one of the richest and most powerful people in all of america.
