Porn Sells and its Free

It is evident that porn has a very ostentatious way of reaching across barriers and appealing to the masses. Sex sells so well that they use it to sell mortgages.

Although not graphic or as explicit as X rated films this could be categorized as free porn that is viewable for the likes of children to see and which. A kid viewing this may not understand but may seek advice from parents of which brings attention to an area of conversation a child at the age of 1-12 should not know about. But lets look at some others I have sampled

Here is another video but its starts at after 20 sec

Those last two commercials got pretty graphic in advertising their product. Its crazy how they use porn these days as a camouflage to sell a product and at our expense. It is true that as the world ages and time passes we become more relaxed in the things we see on TV, Billboards, and in advertisements. Is this a good thing and what kind’s of things will this lead to? What effects will these place on kids growing up? Are they trying to imply that because it is seen often and advertised in commercials it will decrease the statistics of kids have sexual experiences in elementary school. I think it would cause the opposite reaching in getting them interested in testing the waters early.

I know this method of advertising has been around for a long time and has infiltrated our generations and ones to come. Even though there are other methods of clean advertisement:

Why are we so silly in allowing these commercials to persuade us into spending our money on things such as beer that do not bring about those sort of results, but rather the opposite.

Are we as a people so easily mislead by the media?

Are we so naive in believing so many lies that come into our thoughts?

Those first two commercials made absolutely no sense at all! The sex had nothing to do with the product. I was almost annoyed that I had to watch that to get to see what they were trying to advertise. I would also expect them to think of something a little smarter to advertise for condoms then people making out and a guy not having one when he needs it for his one night stand.

  2. soweird666 Says:

Yeah, I agree with sailorattitude. The first two commercials didn’t really make any sense in relation to what the commercial was actually trying to sell, especially the first one. I would have thought they would use something more appropriate to advertise the mortgage. The same thing applies to the advertising of the beer.

  3. Yes, exactly the first commercial made no sense in selling a airline and how they would not judge you, but it keeps you in the commercial because you want to know what they are trying to sell. The second one had no purpose at all, but since it’s a beer commercial the use the body of what would seem a naked woman to attract guys. The two condom commercials were quite awkward I feel and have to agree with you. With the slogan, “no condom, no sex” it would seem that girls would not have sex with a guy if he does not have a condom. Though in reality condoms do more than just allow you to have sex, it prevents STD’s.

  4. Well the last two commercials advertised condoms and safe sex, but I agree on the fact that the idea of showing people making out and the guy “NOT” having the condom, isn’t that creative in advertising their product. It just influences to the young that having the condom is the safest path if couples want to have sex and avoid STDs or pregnancy.

The first one didn’t make any sense at all, and their use of “sexual” approach HAS no connection with what they were advertising. In our age now, people somehow enjoy watching the dumbest thing or something that involves attraction, for men, hot ladies and sex, and the opposite for women. But using those types of media in commercials that have no link between what is advertising… ponders me.

  5. well don’t get your panties in a bunch about it, i know the first two made no sense with having to deal with selling insurance but the action, that was produced had some sexual reference to it, which goes with that the title. which is that its free, and i don’t think there are any hardcore porn out there that they advertise to sell painkillers yet.

  6. lol you never know, I’m sure there has to be something out there with porn and painkillers. The world nowadays and media has developed in a sad and twisted way. =D

  7. I do believe that commercials now a days are getting a little to graphic when advertising there products. I agree with sailorattitude that it was a little upsetting watching the first two commercials because they had nothing to do with the product what so ever. How would it be to have your son or daughter coming up to you asking questions about the second commercial like why is the lady rocking back and forth or where are her friends hiding. I think that commercials today need to have more restraints because some of the things that they display are just too much.

However, I can understand that to some, these commercials are nothing new because this is what they grew up with and I do believe that some of these commercials are the reason why kids today are starting to experiment with sexual intercourse a lot younger than years before because of the emphasis that the media puts on sex. These commercials don’t put up hardcore porn but like it was stated in class a couple of weeks ago, it’s just a matter of time before commercials get more sexual.

  8. Well true, kids today are starting to experiment with sexual intercourse because of what they see. Its quite sad to walk around and you see a young girl carrying a baby because the guy never used it correctly. The commercials never show you the right way to use it, but by simply using it, it will prevent pregnancy.

  9. Honestly the first video made me laugh alot. So sex does not have anything to do with selling the product, but the fact that it was funny and made me laugh is where the money is in this commercial. Because it made me laugh i am going to remember it and tell my friends about it and that is how the word will spread for the product. That how I think they are using sex to sell.

  10. I have to also agree with elukefahr in a way. Even though some products that use more risqué material in their commercial sometimes they make me laugh and my friends and I will talk about them, which helps spread the product name that the commercial is advertising. So in some ways maybe this is a good way of advertising a product.

  11. It can be both a positive and a negative, in being good for the company but bad in affecting the younger more easily influenced generation.

  12. meitanteibilly Says:

It seems to me that the reason why these commercials get more and more out there is because we get desensitized to the older commercials until the become sort of “meh” for us and in order to make us pay attention they have to make something newer and more out there, and the advertising goes is all kinds of weird directions. This seems to have all kinds of negative effects on the younger people of today, and I’m wondering if in 50 years our media will seem conservative in comparison, or some sort of cultural backlash will occur and the media and the youth will be more conservative in their clothing.

  13. elukefahr Says:

I can see how this may be “effecting younger more easily influenced generations” but honestly people are going to do it eventually so is it really worth sheltering young people from all of this?

  14. Advertisers think that the only way to stand out above their competitors is to out do them. If the FCC didn’t make rules banning porn on broadcast television I’m someone would try to use sex to sell toothpaste or dog food or whatever. Like it or not sex sells but personally I believe that companies are taking it too far. Take the visit Las Vegas Ads for example. Vegas has some of the coolest stuff I’ve ever seen but instead of showing anything interesting they show 2 girls in the bathroom exchanging wigs and the words “what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.”

  15. your right in saying that they are going to do it eventually, but at that early age they fully don’t understand the risk of it fully and show not have this kind of information in their minds to be put in the situation to make the choice.

  16. I also agree that it is going to happen sooner or later and I’m positive as the years go on it is just going to get worse and worse and compared to today, today’s commercials are going to look a lot tamer, but I think something needs to be done about the younger generation. Kids are just too young to deal with these issues they can’t understand and I just think these issues are too mature for them.

  17. meitanteibilly Says:

I agree that kids aren’t able to understand it as well at their young age, but I also wonder how it came to be this way. After all, in the not-as-distant-as-most-people-think past, humans who were “kids” by our standards today were working, being married off to other kids and people older than them, and having kids of their own. True, there was still a cuttoff between kid and adult, but that age was a lot lower due to things like short lives, etc. I’m just wondering how it came about.

  18. hawaii808 Says:

That is true but in most situations these marriages were arranged and in a way it was forced upon that person or persons. For example century’s ago in Indonesia and it probably goes on today all over the world, but being that they were probably forced to do that, it was not just presented they had to mature early and be responsible, and basically do things at an early age. It was a good point that back then they did have short life expectancies because of lack of medicine, and other things. But what i think it is a revolving cycle the people before did it to them and now they do it to us just that now that they have to make more eye catching commercials because back then just a women in a swim suit was barely seen on TV and showing a women in a big old one piece swim suit on TV was enough to grab attention, these advertisers have to make commercials more provocative and more sexy and more porn like to grab attention from the audience. Thus when a child see’s it and brings it to the parents attention it makes an imprint in their mind that they now have for example a new choice in having and insurance company that wont juge you.

  19. soweird666 Says:

I would have to disagree with two things that blahahalb said. The first thing would be that condoms prevent STDs. While they do help lower the chances of a person getting an STD, it doesn’t prevent it completely. The condom could break or have a leak, the fluids could overflow, or the person wearing the condom could have put it on wrong. The other thing is that the condom isn’t 100% fool proof in terms of preventing pregnancy, for the same reasons I just mentioned.

  20. blahahalb Says:

That is true that kids don’t have the knowledge to fully understand what they are watching on the “idiot box” but kids learn quickly. In our younger ages, teachers used visual aid to help us understand things quicker, thus watching something on tv that is showed over and over again makes us think that it is right even though we have no clear understanding.

  21. I dont think that all adults have the knowledge to fully understand what they are watching either or understand what they are doing.
